2018 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is a car that arguably rejuvenated the whole brand only three years ago has now received its first facelift. When it was first introduced in 2012, the latest A-Class from Mercedes-Benz really didn’t have much in common with its predecessors and that was nothing but a good thing. The 2018 Mercedes-AMG A45, as it is now called, is part of a brand wide naming restructure that saw the formation of a dedicated Mercedes-AMG brand. This has brought a number of important new items to the table that in large part address the shortfalls of the old car.
2018 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG Exterior and Interior Design
The exterior has received rather subtle but detailed upgrades and clearly shows that everything. The addition of the adjustable set up gave the AMG engineers the option to introduce multiple characters to the way it drive. While even in the softer setting it still transmits the majority of imperfections in the road surface directly into the cabin, it is much more compliant than before. Unlike its bigger, brasher AMG brothers the A45 feels lithe and agile in the bends. Then change from the new 18 inch wheels and the new front bumper to the little spoiler on the back of the roof, is trimmed for performance. One of our cars came in Elbaite Green, one of the special colours that definitely adds to making the car an even bigger eye catcher than it already is.
The dynamic and sporty character continues in the interior. The design looks modern and sophisticated and the A45 gets just the right amount of sporty touches, like the Alcantara wrapped chunky steering wheel, body hugging sports seats and carbon fibre trim. A new instrument binnacle and an updated infotainment system. The infotainment system has been increased to an 8.0-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.
