The 2020 Audi Q3 crossover delivers the luxury ambience and ride expected of the brand, but its mediocre performance, fuel economy and utility mean that some rivals could end up being more appealing. The Audi Q3 is fresh on the market, but it has been on sale in Europe for several years. That’s why it’s already receiving a midcycle facelift.

2020 Audi Q3 Exterior and Interior Design

So far it doesn’t appear Audi will be pulling any surprises regarding the design. Design Audi Q3 10 inches shorter than the Q5, with a roof that’s a couple of inches lower, but it shares the same big grille. The 2020 Audi Q3 receives mildly freshened front-end styling, while the list of standard features now includes front and rear parking sensors and a rearview camera. Additionally, the Prestige trim gets standard 19 inch wheels, full LED headlights, dynamic rear turn signals and sporty. We like the tapered rear end and standard LED taillights, and the dual exhaust outlets are a sporty touch, as is the aluminum trim on the side windows.

Inside, the Q3’s cockpit resembles the one in the related Audi A3 sedan. It’s swathed in low gloss black plastic and metallic trim, all subdued and integrated in the way Audi seems to do better than most of its rivals. Although the front and rear seats are plenty comfortable thanks to their firm, well shaped cushions, the rear compartment is rather tight for taller folks. Big gauges are paired on some versions with an infotainment system and a big 7.0 inch screen that folds out from the dash in a way that’s technologically impressive and a concession to the preferences. Features satandart others including a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, dual zone automatic climate control, an auto dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and a 10 speaker sound system with satellite radio, a CD player and Audi’s proprietary digital music interface.
