2019 Cadillac CT6 coming soon. Having launched the CT6 full size prestige sport luxury sedan for the 2017 model year, Cadillac gives the full size sedan a few changes for the 2019 model year. The CT6 is the brand’s new Cadillac flagship. It is not the ultra elongated, gratuitously styled Caddy of yore, and certainly not the 2011 convertible Ciel concept last seen in the Entourage movie. The design on the Escala concept will make a debut with a number of innovative technologies meant to regain its foothold as a luxury brand. Cadillac has confirmed that it uses quite a few components from the Chevy but with many changes dictated by its rear wheel drive platform and sportier bent.
2019 Cadillac CT6 Exterior and Interior Design
Visually, the CT6 is an impressively imposing beast, something you expect in a premium luxury sedan. We believed that the 2019 Cadillac CT6 will be based on the Elmiraj Concept but GM boss clearly announced that it won’t be the case. Apparently, the newcomer will be based on an improved version of the Art and Science design theme, the same design theme of the ATS and CTS models. That includes, the vertical head and taillamps framing the large Cadillac grille. All lighting, incidentally, is now LED, which creates an even more luxurious appearance at the end of the sedan’s long nose. The rear end is traditional Cadillac’s without additional lines that would disturb sleek and angular style.
Everybody knows that the Cadillac auto maker makes really luxurious and stylish stuff. The interior is, the most richly appointed we have seen on a Cadillac, with the right blend of hand stitched leathers, woods and metals. Luckily, the new 2019 Cadillac CT6 will come with better designed features and technologies than the current CTS model as evidenced by the recently released spy photos. For the driver, traditional gauges have been replaced by an amply sized reconfigurable LCD display. Unlike some competitors, it boasts the resolution and contrast to present simulated instruments so realistic you might be convinced they’re conventional analog dials. There’s also a usefully programmed head up display, or HUD system available, depending upon the trim level.
2019 Cadillac CT6 Release Date and Price
The 2019 Cadillac CT6 doesn’t have a due date on it yet. Look for the facelifted CT6 to debut in 2018, as a 2019 model. Production is expected to commence in the early parts, the pricing is expected to begin at 54,000 dollars and end at 65,300.
2019 Cadillac CT6 Engine Specs and Performance
It’s not clear what Cadillac is planning for the powertrains. The new CT6 will offer getting its own twin-turbocharged V8 likely displacing 4.2 liters. The CT6 V-Sport would be the milder and it could potentially use an upgraded version of the car’s twin-turbo 3.0 liter V6 or possibly a twin-turbo V8. But, a CT6-V remains more of a mystery. A plug-in hybrid option was introduced for 2017. As previously reported, the 2019 Cadillac CT6 borrows some components from the second generation Chevy Volt, adapting them to a rear wheel drive platform and Plug-In Hybrid battery system. CT6 Plug-In Hybrid battery system will use the company’s proven active thermal control system that maintains electric range over the battery system’s life of 2019 Cadillac CT6.
