2019 VW Polo is a vehicle that is expected to arrive as the sixth generation of Volkswagen’s popular Polo car model. Volkswagen is working intensely on the successor of the Polo supermini and its new SUV derivative, with both of them based on the MQB platform for the first time. Considering the fact that Volkswagen recently did a facelift, we are too excited as to see what they might have on offer for the 2019 VW Polo.
2019 Volkswagen Polo Exterior and Interior Design
From the outside, you’ll notice some changes in the design. The increased size is partially due to the fact that the redesigned Polo rides on the MQB platform found in the current Golf and a few other Volkswagen Group vehicles. The new crossover will sit on top of the new Polo’s range but it will have its own visual identity despite the common hardware underneath the skin. The front bumper will be increased and will be offered restyled air tunnels. Front and rear lights will also be changed and will use LED technology. Line design will be done in such a way that increases the aerodynamics of the car. The new Golf and Passat model was the inspiration for this model Polo car.
2019 Volkswagen Polo will be the first use of the MQB platform in the supermini segment and as expected, it will allow for a drastic increase of cabin and luggage space while retaining a compact footprint on the road. We also expect a myriad of upgrades that will maximize both comfort and technology factors. It would feature seats upholstered with leather. Due to redesigned seating arrangements, passengers can expect better posture and more head and legroom. Additionally, VW Polo will also be Driver alert system, ABS braking, Adaptive cruise control and safety airbags for passengers. Infotainment system will also raise a level higher than the current and feature a touch screen center console and audio streaming feature. Advanced connectivity features that allow Smartphone integration like USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi will also be featured.
2019 Volkswagen Polo Price and Release Date
With the test mule masquerading as a Volkswagen Polo right now, even thinking about pricing is a little farfetched. The first estimates indicate a range between $19,000 and $27,000 range-topping. Look for the official reveal soon as production is due to start in June. This is still far away from its debut, so there will be more information about it in the coming days.
2019 Volkswagen Polo Engine Specs and Performance
The new model Polo car should have a pretty powerful engine, performance in power and fuel efficiency a better from predecessor. The GTI will likely adopt the 1.8 liter inline 4 used for the fifth-gen model, though we’ve heard that a more powerful 2.0 liter engine is also possible. Higher variants will be offered with a DSG automatic gearbox, while a manual transmission is likely to be standard in base variants. The new platform also endow the new Polo with more fuel-efficient powertrains including the possibility of hybrid and all-electric options later in the life cycle. What we were closer to the day of placing the VW Polo models on the market. Until then, we can only speculate for 2019 Volkswagen Polo.
