The 2018 Toyota HiLux Diesel could be the most important vehicle the Japanese brand launches this decade. While the current HiLux Diesel is only available in certain markets, the 2018 Toyota HiLux Diesel is planned to be a Global model meaning that it will be for the first time introduced on the US market. The Toyota HiLux Diesel has long had a reputation for being one of the toughest utes on the market, and with this, the eighth-generation model, the brand says it has made the unbreakable HiLux Diesel even more unbreakable. Toyota hasn’t officially announced this yet but we are expecting them to because the new HiLux Diesel is bigger, more powerful and also much more fuel efficient than the previous generation.
2018 Toyota HiLux Diesel Exterior and Interior Design
The all new 2018 HiLux Diesel continues Toyota’s tradition of the high riding, utilitarian pickup. The outside of the 2018 Toyota HiLux Diesel on the other hand is a bit more impressive than that, offering an evolved design over the previous version. Of course, the truck comes in several trim levels, cab configurations and bed lengths. The front end is rounder in order to offer a better aerodynamic coefficient, the headlights have standard LED daytime running lights and Xenon and the approach and departure angles are slightly better than before.
First impressions behind the wheel are of a far more modern, stylish and car like interior, with even the Workmate models getting a tablet style multi function touchscreen that dominates the dashboard. The HiLux Diesel is becoming more SUV like with a more compliant ride, quieter cabins and higher levels of comfort and convenience. Air conditioning is standard, touchscreen displays 6.1 inch or 7 inch depending on model, cruise control, better seats and power operated windows, door locks and mirrors. In all models, drivers have the benefit of tilt and reach steering wheel adjustment while SR and SR5 models have the benefit of seat height adjustment.
