Lexus revealed a new addition to the redesigned RX lineup, in the form of the RX 200t. Because it will be a close run race between this RX and the already popular small SUV NX to see which becomes the biggest selling Lexus. This is the fourth-generation of the Lexus RX since the model’s global launch in 1998.

Save for a few new badges, the exterior of the new RX 200t is identical to the rest of the recently redesigned RX lineup. The front is equipped with a completely new fascia highlighted by bold spindle grille with chrome border, triple plated L-shaped LED lights, roof rails and dual chrome-tipped exhausts. Together with the redesigned fog lamps, this gives the RX elegant yet futuristic aura. Muscular front fender flares add to the sporty attitude of the vehicle.
There will be ample space for five adults with the seats being arranged in two rows. Inside this vehicle there will be ample light which will be further enhanced by a standard panoramic sunroof. This generous specification is matched by the Lexus RX 200t, which leads off the full hybrid range, with the addition of an auto-dimming rear-view and door mirrors, smooth leather upholstery, eight-way power adjustable heated/ventilated front seats and memory settings for the steering wheel, driver’s seat and door mirrors. When the RX goes on sale, buyers will have the choice of either a 200t model with a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine or the 450h hybrid version, which has a 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine coupled to an electric motor. No official fuel economy or emissions figures have been revealed yet, but the hybrid will naturally sip fuel better than turbo petrol model.
