The 2019 Ford F150 fresh off a transformation that made it leaner yet much improved in most ways and trailer-backup wizardry. It was a huge development in the pickup truck market last fall when Ford introduced the new generation 2017 F150, with a lightweight, all-aluminum body that cut as much as 700 pounds from the truck’s total weight. After one of the most significant redesigns in the model’s long history, the 2019 Ford F150 returns with a few notable improvements. Also new to the lineup is a range topping and luxurious Limited trim.
2019 Ford F150 Exterior and Interior Design
The 2019 Ford F150 features even stronger steel on its frame than before and is bestowed with high grade aluminum alloy. This ensures the pick-up is strong enough for bad terrain but lighter. Positioned above the Platinum and King Ranch models in the F150 model hierarchy, the F150 Limited features all kinds of stuff you won’t want to get dirty. There’s a satin chrome finish on the grille, door handles, and tailgate trim, chrome slathered 22 inch wheels, a chrome exhaust tip, and front bumper caps and a rear bumper both painted to match the body. The truck also features quad LED headlamps, adaptive cruise control, an LED side mirror spotlight, a 360 degree view camera system, active parking assistance, and a remote tailgate release, all of which Ford claims are exclusive in the segment.
The interior of the 2019 Ford F150 will definitely be more spacious and the seats have better and stronger material. There are choices of metallic and wooden accents but the dash will still come out sturdy and functional. Buyers can get cool features like a Wi-Fi hotspot, an 8 inch touch screen, two 3 prong power outlets, smart cruise control, active park assist, and the ability to have the Sync 3 infotainment system read text messages to you while you drive. The F150’s floor is flat, making the middle rear seat comfortable, while also allowing more room for storage. Also making the cab comfortable are seats that have been carefully sculpted to reduce fatigue.
2019 Ford F150 Release Date and Price
The tests have not even begun, but the new 2019 F150 goes on sale this fall, and prices have not been announced. We expect it to be around $60,000.
2019 Ford F150 Powertrain and Performance
The 2019 Ford F150 is not only stronger but smarter as well. The 2019 F150 keeps a V8 in the lineup, as well as a base V6, but the heart of the lineup is now occupied by a couple of twin turbocharged V6 engines. The two engines at the top of the lineup are the 5.0 liter V8, now at 385 horsepower, and the even more capable twinturbo 3.5 liter V6, at 365 hp. It will be mated with 10 speed transmission and a new 4 wheel drive, torque on demand transfer case. Engine stop/start is included, which might aid fuel economy in real world stop and go. Since this pickup truck is already as powerful as hell, it seems Ford is just looking to make it more fuel efficient and even more fast for 2019 Ford F150 performance.
