2018 Jaguar XE finally come to US although the rumors about this car have already started all the way back in 2014. Introduced last year as Jaguar’s new entry-level luxury sports sedan, the XE wears the automaker’s current styling themes well. Jaguar has a storied pedigree, of course. The 2018 Jaguar XE muscles its way into garages that once hosted other European stalwarts, doing it through a combination of style, performance and modern technology. Jaguar also updates the driver assistance, collision avoidance, and infotainment systems, and four new engines are on tap.

The Jaguar XE has a stunning design that has been constructed to optimize aerodynamics and maximize style. In this sense, only die-hard fans of Jaguar will see significant differences. The XE has a race-car inspired design, and the front end features a sculpted hood with optional Adaptive Xenon headlights. Another techy addition is the updated surround-camera parking options, adding multiple new features. Chrome trim is found on much of the exterior, with Jaguar including chrome side vents and a chrome side arch that frames the side window glass. At the rear end, hands-free power trunk lid comes as a novelty for this revision, only to give an example.

The XE’s interior is clean and uncluttered, something you cannot say about other models in the class. Jaguar has utilized the finest materials to create a comfortable ride for five passengers. There is spacious cabin up front, but a little more cramped in the legroom department in the rear. Drivers, in particular, will love the cabin as it has a luxury dash and a raised center that enhances the cockpit feel. Models equipped with Jaguar’s 10 inch InControl Pro infotainment system will come with a new 12.3 inch virtual instrument cluster system configurable to the driver’s preferences, from audio to navigation and phone connectivity, via the touchscreen or by voice command.

When the 2018 Jaguar XE hits dealers in May, it will carry a starting price of $36,720 for the base 25t trim. It $825 higher compared with the 2017 model.

The key to success of a vehicle is a varied engine lineup. Three engines are available in the 2018 XE. There’s a punchy four-cylinder gas engine, a fuel sipping diesel four cylinder, and a supercharged V6 available in 340 horsepower and 380 hp configurations. To complete the setup on the 2018 XE, we get an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard, with other possible options that are about to be announced. A rear wheel drive layout as standard with all wheel drive available as an option will be owned 2018 Jaguar XE.
